Produced jointly by Dil Raju and Sirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema, the film stars an ensemble cast of Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna, R. Sarathkumar, Srikanth, Shaam, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha, Prakash Raj, Ganesh Venkatraman, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Mime Gopi, Nandini Rai and Suman. Varisu Movie Story

Vamshi Paidipally wrote and directed Varisu, an action drama movie in Tamil that will be released in 2023. The youngest son of a business mogul who is disowned by his father for refusing to join the family firm, Vijay Rajendran, is portrayed by Vijay in the movie. When his father is given a fatal illness diagnosis and asked to take over the family business, he comes home after seven years. In supporting parts, the movie also has Rashmika Mandanna, Sarath Kumar, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Shaam, Prakash Raj, and Prabhu.

The movie opens with Rajendran Palanisamy (Sarath Kumar), the father of Vijay Rajendran (Vijay), disowning him for declining to join the family company. Vijay launches a thriving food delivery business of his own.

Rajendran receives a stage IV pancreatic cancer diagnosis seven years later and is given only 8 to 10 months to live. Before passing away, he chooses to announce his terminal illness and name one of his two older sons—Jai (Srikanth) or Ajay (Shaam)—as his successor. Rajendran will spend his 65th birthday in style as a result, with the intention of announcing both matters later.

At the request of his mother Sudha (Jayasudha), who still views Vijay as her son, Vijay accepts the invitation. When Vijay gets there, he discovers his house in a mess. Both of his brothers are in such poor health.

In addition to having an extramarital affair with Smita and cheating on his wife Aarthi (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), Jai also neglects his family, which includes his daughter Ria. Ajay is in a debt trap because he owes Mukesh, a financier, more than 550 crore (US$69 million). When Ajay was unable to pay Mukesh back for the money, he offered to provide trade secrets to Jayaprakash “JP” (Prakash Raj), his father’s business adversary.

Soon after realizing that his father is struggling, Vijay decides to assist him. He approaches his brothers and demands that they alter their behavior. He also aids Rajendran in eliminating competitors.

Rajendran is relieved to find that Vijay has finally changed his mind in the end. He names Vijay the company’s chairman before passing away peacefully. Vijay pledges to look after both his family and the business.

The commercial action drama movie Varisu has every component that lovers of the genre adore. There is a ton of drama, comedy, and action. As Vijay Rajendran, Vijay is in excellent form and gives a performance that is both entertaining and emotionally impactful. Rashmika Mandanna, Sarath Kumar, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Shaam, Prakash Raj, and Prabhu all deliver standout performances, rounding out a strong supporting ensemble.
